Smartphones vom Mobile World Congress in Barcelona
Tja, die MWC in Barcelona läuft gerade, und es werden haufenweise neue tolle Smartphones vorgestellt. Natürlich kein einziges ohne Kamera, dafür etliche mit dem Zusatz “Businessphone”. Was nun, Multimedia-Kindergarten oder Business? Hier jedenfalls mal die interessantesten sobald eine kameralose Version kommen sollte (never):
HTC Touch Diamond 2
While HTC’s press didn’t deliver on our Android dreams — or electric sheep — it did land us the new Touch Diamond2. First off, this set is a stunner, build quality and feel in your hand is really a quality affair. The material choices in both metal and plastics used here are really first rate — we gush because we’re rather impressed.

Toshiba TG01
While we weren’t originally cheering fans of the Toshiba TG01′s somewhat odd “stripey” interface, checking it out in person tells a different tale. It actually makes sense and works surprisingly well, and really, there is a reason why we’ve seen so many Windows Mobile skinning efforts, the shipped interface needs it.

Sony Ericsson Idou
Sony Ericsson launched its 12.1 megapixel Idou at Mobile World Congress yesterday evening, and while not a finished device, we checked it out anyway. The Idou will eventually roll with the Symbian Foundation’s OS, but the version we’re seeing here is somewhere in between.

Nokia E55
eigentlich nicht wirklich ein Smartphone (jedenfalls kein Querty) aber toll wärs schon mal, ein Handy wieder in die Hosentasche zu kriegen 
(Aber hat ja sowieso ne Kamera)
We sniffed out Nokia’s new E55 not-a-QWERTY QWERTY candybar phone, which uses a SureType-esque predictive text mechanism with two letters per key, and looks pretty good doing it. Nokia’s calling this the “world’s thinnest smartphone,” quite the feat if it’s true, and it might just give Nokia’s ultrapopular E71 a run for its money in the “fashionably smart” category.
HTC G2/Magic
Die Android Varianten sehe ich eigentlich nicht als Smartphone, da die nicht mit dem Desktop synchronisierbar sind. Vielleicht sollte man sie als “Internet-Phone” bezeichnen? Immerhin wars ja ne Erfindung von Google…
We can already tell that this naming thing is getting out of hand, but for all intents and purposes, the handset you see above is the same HTC G2 we’ve seen hosted up in T-Mobile documentation and those gnarly in the wild snaps.

Nokia E75
Das ist jetzt eines das mir als altem Communicator-Fan gut gefallen könnte. Vor allem weils mal kein Ziegelstein ist. Aber natürlich ist da wieder ne Kamera drin. Und mich stört bei den Nokias immer noch heftig dass die keine Outlook Kategorien syncen…
Here she be, up close and personal, Nokia’s newly official E75 QWERTY slider. We’re still not seeing much of the 9000 series heritage Nokia mentioned in its presser, but it’s one sexy wide-QWERTY phone, any way you slice it. There’s video after the break!
Samsung Ultra Touch
The hits keep coming at MWC 09, and while we’re racing around from liveblog to liveblog, the crew at Engadget Spanish managed to snag some quality time with Samsung’s Ultra Touch S8300 slider.
