while I have already been on a search for a GTD Software, I meanwhile finetuned my needs. A GTD software is nice for taking care of tasks, but I need more. I’ll outline it here:

• webbased
• iOS/Android client (or dedicated Webinterface)
• Mac/Win client (just nice to have, webbased would be sufficient)
• Lists (for packing/shopping)
• ability to copy lists (for template usage)
• Tasks (assignable)
• Calendar (for appointments)

Now for the details…

Lists

currently I use Springpad for my notes and lists. However, Springpad can’t share lists/notes with specific persons, you can only make them available to the whole world, or not at all. Also, you can’t copy a list. So I had to make a template, and whenever I need that as a specific list, I have to mail it to myself, then from my mail do “open in Springpad” and from there save it with a new name. What also annoys me with springpad, is even if I can assign notes to a notebook (think “folder”), it still is in the “all my stuff” folder. If like me, you work with an “empty Inbox” principle, this is annoying.

Tasks

I currently use Wunderlist for tasks, especially because it is somewhat collaboration-friendly. I can have a folder with tasks relating to my shop, and can have that shared with my co-workers. Also, I have the same done with my wife, thinking this would be nice for shopping lists. However, Wunderlist also doesn’t let me copy the contents of a list, which hinders its usability for that case.

Calendar

that one’s a hard one. Currently I use Supersaas, which fulfills my (our) needs: I can have a reservation system, with different opening times for each worker, I can have a superuser that can make appointments for any worker, and I have a joomla bridge, so that every registered user of our site can click a “get appointment” button, and is automatically assigned a Supersaas user, redirected to our Supersaas calendar, and can request an appointment with a worker. Also they can’t see the details of existing appointments, which is important. However, the webinterface of Supersaas is somewhat ugly (think 80′s), and has a few glitches. Also it doesn’t really sync to my google calendar, it’s only 1-way.

So, all in all my needs are partly filled already (maybe I have to switch to Evernote for copy-able lists, but I already hate how many different systems I have to use throughout a day), but what I really would need, is some software that does all of the above. Dreaming, I guess…

I maintain a Lotro guild website, and recently we switched from SMF/Tinyportal to phpfusion. With SMF we had a specific forum, where applications for guild membership could be posted, phpfusion doesn’t have that option. I found a php script here thad did what I needed, however there was no captcha included, and I didn’t want the forum to be flooded

So I integrated reCaptcha to the form. To use this, you have to register (free) to reCaptcha, so you get the keys the API needs. You just need to upload recaptchalib.php then to your site to the includes directory.

What the script does, is taking some form fields from the applicant, and then posting it to a specific forum. You need to change variables in the header of the script, and somewhere below the public and private key for reCaptcha.

pfff… Socks-Proxy. Dann ist die IP nur noch dort sichtbar. Offene Proxies gibts genügend. Ausserdem gibt es ja zum Glück auch noch Staaten, die noch nicht zum Überwachungsstaat mutiert sind.
Und: Wer glaubt denn ernsthaft, dass die Server die per DDoS angegriffen werden, noch in der Lage sind was zu protokollieren? Bei der Masse praktisch unmöglich. Und reine ping Attacken auf ICMP Ebene wären nur am Router protokollierbar, und der wiederum würde bei der Masse  schlichtweg aufgeben.

Aber natürlich hat heise recht damit, dass das *nicht erlaubt* ist. Genauso wie Behördenwillkür, staatliche Übergriffe und Zensur

Ihre IP-Adressen tauchen in allen Log-Files auf; die einfach gestrickten Kontrollstrukturen werden längst von allen möglichen interessierten Parteien überwacht. Wer also seinen Rechner an das Hive-Mind anschließt und die Low Orbit Ion Canon gegen missliebige Server richtet, muss mit ernsthaften Konsequenzen rechnen.
